Councils
For increased engagement, we have four council membership options that charge individual membership dues. All three councils include Affiliate Member status at the local, state, and national levels. These opportunities elevate your professional profile to a national network and offer additional programs and education exclusively to council members.
For any individual to join a HBAGC Council or as an Affiliate Member, a parent company must have an active Associate or Builder Membership.
- Custom Construction Council, our newest council, free to members
- Professional Women in Building Council, $100 annual membership
- Sales & Marketing Council, $100 annual membership
- Land Development Council, $100 annual company membership with additional representatives at $30 each
Custom Construction Council
Representing members who specialize in the planning, design, and construction or remodeling of custom homes. This council creates strategic alliances that educate builders and remodelers in areas related to custom homes and reviews proposed codes and regulations as they specifically relate to custom home building.
The council is open to all Builder/Remodeler members, as well as trade partners that directly serve the residential custom construction market.

Professional Women in Building
PWB is the voice of women in the building industry - dedicated to promoting professionalism and supporting members at the local, state, and national levels. Participation is open to any individual employed by a Builder or Associate member of the HBA of Greater Charlotte. Annual council dues are $100.
This council is an inclusive group that welcomes housing industry professionals of ALL backgrounds who seek connection and support among their colleagues.
Greater Charlotte PWB membership includes Affiliate membership – giving you access to Local, State, and National membership resources!

Sales and Marketing Council
The Sales & Marketing Council is a membership forum for new home industry professionals who seek connection and support among their specific peers. Committed to the ongoing education and growth of its membership, the SMC provides a platform to connect and share ideas, knowledge, and resources. The HBAGC Sales & Marketing Council supports:
- Small, medium, and large volume builders/developers
- Employees of builders and in-house sales and marketing professionals
- Related Associates and/or consultants
- Independent new homes sales and marketing professionals
- Independent Realtors(R)
Our programs are designed to encourage individual excellence. Plus, membership in the Greater Charlotte SMC includes automatic membership in the National Sales and Marketing Council.
National Sales and Marketing Council (NSMC)
A council of the National Association of Home Builders, the NSMC connects people and builds careers through education, information, resources and networking. It publishes content in Council Concepts - an exclusive benefit to council members providing the latest trends and techniques in residential construction, along with practical ideas to help you grow professionally and increase your bottom line. The NSMC also sponsors the annual new homes sales and design awards, The Nationals.

Land Development Council
This council hosts monthly luncheons to exchange information and ideas relating to the development industry and to engage elected officials by addressing opportunities and obstacles to development.
These meetings are an opportunity for the exchange of ideas to promote high standards within the development industry.
In addition to the benefits listed below, LDC membership includes Affiliate membership – giving you access to Local, State, and National membership resources!
